I'm New

Welcome!

St.Paul's Lutheran Church is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!

When we Meet

Sunday Mornings

8:30 am and 10:30 am

What To Expect

Let us help you prepare for your visit.  Attending a new church for the first time can be intimidating.  You may have many questions about what you can expect at St. Paul's, so we hope that the information on this page (as well as other information that you may find here on our website) will help prepare you for your visit.

PARKING
South Entrance:  Our parking lot is off of the south entrance to the church.  For those with physical challenges, we have special parking spots in our parking lot and an elevator at the south entrance.

North Entrance:  On-street parking is on E. Wayne Street and in a few city parking lots that are across the street.  Entrance to the building would then be by the doors at our building's north side.

WELCOME CENTER
Here, at our Welcome Center, someone will be available to answer any questions and help you navigate our facility.  If you need assistance, one of our friendly ushers at either entrance can direct you to this helpful resource.  Nearby, you will also find coffee and a sweet treat that you are welcome to enjoy with us.  If you are a first-time visitor, there is a gift for you at our Welcome Center!

NURSERY AND CHILDREN
We have a nursery available for ages birth - 4 years of age.  Our nursery is located across from the Sanctuary and is offered during our Modern Worship Service at 10:30 am.

For children from K-5th grade, we have Children's Church that takes place during the Modern Worship Service.

To keep our Children safe, we use a secure check-in system that is located at the Welcome Center.  Each child (birth-5th grade) is given a nametag to wear and the parent is given a number to be used when picking up their child.  All of our teachers have been background-checked.

Membership

If you would like to become a member of the St. Paul's family, the first and most important step is to begin a practice of regular worship with us on Sunday mornings.  The second step to joining is to contact Becky, in our church office, and inform her of your desire to join.  Membership can be by any of the following three methods:

MEMBERSHIP TRANSFER
If you are presently affiliated with another Lutheran Church and you wish to transfer your membership to the St. Paul's family, please contact Becky, in our church office (419-893-0205), and she will take care of the transfer process.  If you prefer, you may contact your affiliate church and ask to have your membership transferred to St. Paul's.  Be sure to let Becky know that you have contacted your previous church so that she can follow up on your transfer request.

BAPTISM
Baptism is a joyous celebration as well as a sacred one.  It's meant to be shared by family, sponsors/godparents and the whole church community.  If you are interested in scheduling a baptism, please call Becky, in our church office (419-893-0205).

ALPHA COURSE
This is an 11-week course for current and prospective adult members covering the basics of the Christian faith.  Alpha Course meets weekly, in the evening, and is offered a couple times, yearly.  To join the next class, kindly contact the church office.
