others to Christ
together in Faith
oneself to Him
Welcome to St. Paul’s Lutheran. By the numbers, we’re a big church, still we have a family feel about us. We are a community striving to be “Missional in Maumee” and throughout our world as a growing, multigenerational movement committed to connecting people to Jesus Christ, and together growing in full devotion with him.
We’re confident you’ll find opportunities to connect at St. Paul’s, grow in your faith, and make an impact with us in the greater Toledo area. We hope to see you soon, and we’re delighted to join you as you take the next steps in your faith journey.
At St. Paul’s, we encourage everybody to come as they are, to worship and do life with us. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, or you joined us some time ago, we hope St. Paul’s is a place you can call home.
As you’re checking us out online, we also hope you’ll join on Sunday. From the moment you walk through our doors, we hope you’ll feel welcome with us.
Come home to St. Paul’s and do life with us. We hope that being here will inspire you to pursue Jesus Christ even more, and to discover the richness that God has in store for you.
Connecting to a new church can be overwhelming. Sometimes, we have lots of questions, like: Where do I begin? How do I connect? What's available for my children? We want to help you feel at home and to answer your questions, so you can be better connected to St. Paul's. Meet up with Pastor Paul on Sunday mornings in our gathering space to begin your journey at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. If you're planning on visiting us, let us know when so we can find you.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
I joined St. Paul's in 1991 and have been on staff since 1998. I'm married to my high school sweetheart Carol. Together we spend time exploring adventures unknown with our six adult kids and 18 grandchildren. With God having blessed me with a larger family, a long marriage and several decades of a career that included being a registered nurse, I'm able to offer some unique insight and skills to our church's ministry. Come, do life with us!
I've been lifelong resident of the Toledo Area. I attended DeVilbiss High School and graduated from the University of Toledo majoring in Accounting. I've served as the St. Paul’s Business Administrator since April of 2011. My wife Jill and I were married in 1978 and we have a daughter Marcy. I enjoy walking, performing analysis, playing golf and cards.
My wife Heather and I have lived in Toledo going on four years. I'm originally from Crawfordsville, Indiana and Heather is originally from Pettisville, Ohio. We have three children: Taylor (21), Zach (18) and Calyb (7). Heather works at Toledo Christian School, as the Administrative Assistant to the Athletic Director. Besides serving the youth of St. Paul's I'm also a part-time Middle School/High School Choir Teacher at Toledo Christian as well as the Head Baseball Coach and the Offensive Coordinator for the football team.
I'm so excited to serve our children and teens and their parents in any way I can with God's help and strength.
I was born and grew up in Toledo, Ohio. About a year out of high school, I was hired as Church Secretary at my home church and served there for over 35 years until being hired as Executive Secretary at St. Paul's in April of 2011.
Sue comes to St. Paul's with many years of business experience, organizing and managing executives. More than this, Sue has been volunteering for months with our staff worship planning team: organizing them and keeping them moving forward. We are excited to have Sue on our team.
Within the human spirit is a desire to connect to something bigger. That’s happening at St. Paul’s. We are a people connected around common beliefs and values. Some of these are doing life together, making new friends, and discovering more about life through Jesus Christ. Connect with us; you’ll be glad you did.
St. Paul’s is a community held together in the bonds of faith through Jesus Christ. We aim to love and encourage each other, so that we can grow in our faith and become more mature in all ways. Discover how you can grow in your faith—together with us— at St. Paul’s.
We value being devoted to something greater than ourselves. We're a body devoted to worshiping and serving a great God—especially outside our “four walls.” Find out how you can enrich your life by serving our communities with us at St. Paul’s.
